US actor John Malkovich was turned away from a Venice hotel due to a lapsed Super Green Pass. He is in the city to film the American TV series Ripley.
The American actor and director John Malkovich was turned away from the luxury Hotel Danieli in Venice last week, reports Il Gazzettino.
The luxury hotel denied the actor entry as his Green Pass health certificate had lapsed. A Super Green Pass shows the holder has either been fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid in the last six months.
As a result, he had to stay in a nearby private residence. Malkovich was in the lagoon city for a shoot of the American TV series Ripley, adapted from Patricia Highsmith’s novels.
The Hotel Danieli is close to St. Mark’s Square and has incredible views over the lagoon.
