From August 31st, Italy is scrapping the five-day quarantine requirement for fully-vaccinated travellers from the UK. The visitors must present a negative covid test.

The Italian health ministry announced the change to travel requirements for UK visitors yesterday.

New requirements for UK visitors

As well as being fully-vaccinated, UK travellers must show negative results from a covid test taken within 48 hours of arrival in Italy. They must also have 14 days since the last dose of the vaccine.

A passenger locator form is still essential.

Currently, travellers from the UK must have the negative test result, quarantine for 5 days and have a second test to be released from quarantine.

Restrictions for visitors from other countries to Italy remain in place.

All visitors must be aware of the Italian Green Pass limitations, in order to avoid disappointment. New restrictions come into place from 1st September, on top of the existing ones.

All official covid information can be found at the health ministry website.
