According to witnesses, Tom Cruise is shooting flight scenes for Mission: Impossible 8 in Puglia. The actor was seen boarding a helicopter in Bari for an unknown destination today.
The Hollywood actor, 60, is believed to be filming a scene in which he lands on an aircraft carrier. Cruise arrived in the Puglia capital earlier this week, and several large black vans with British number plates have been seen outside a city hotel.
Tom Cruise is also a producer on this latest, and probably last, outing for Ethan Hunt.
The Apulia Film Commission said it was not involved in the shoot. However, it voiced satisfaction that American producers had once more chosen Puglia which “confirms it is a region in which there is everything you need for great cinema”.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two is an upcoming American action spy film written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie. Based on the television series Mission: Impossible by Bruce Geller, it is a direct sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023), and thought to be the eighth and final installment in the Mission: Impossible film series.
