Gabriele Ciancuto, a 13-year-old from Amelia, Umbria, has published his second physics book, cementing his role as a young science communicator.
Following the success of Il sistema solare (The Solar System), released just over a year ago, Gabriele’s latest work, La fisica per I piccoli (Physics for the Little Ones), invites children aged 6 to 10 to discover the wonders of physics through practical experiments and everyday activities.
Each chapter of the book begins with a thought-provoking question designed to spark curiosity and reflection. Using familiar scenarios, such as a ball being thrown to explain speed or a playground swing to demonstrate levers, Gabriele makes complex concepts easy to understand and engaging for young minds.
The book also includes simple experiments that children can try at home. For example, they can observe sound waves using everyday items like spoons, water, and glasses.
Gabriele credits his passion for science to his primary school teachers, Beatrice and Alessandra, who inspired him to delve into this fascinating field.
