Four decades after their debut at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1985, British band Duran Duran will return to Italy for performances in three cities this June.
The band will perform at Rome’s Circus Maximus on June 15-16, Bari’s Fiera del Levante on June 18, and the I-DAYS festival at Milan’s Ippodromo Snai San Siro on June 20.
Duran Duran, who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, have sold over 100 million records worldwide. With 18 singles charting in the US, 21 Top 20 hits in the UK, and several hits in Italy, the band is one of the most enduring and influential groups in music history.
The band also penned “A View to a Kill,” the only James Bond theme to top the US Billboard Hot 100. Thye also collaborated with notable creatives in film, including director David Lynch, who helmed one of their most successful concert films.
Formed in Birmingham in 1978, the band has produced timeless hits such as “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Ordinary World,” “Rio,” “Girls on Film,” “The Wild Boys,” “The Reflex,” “Come Undone,” and more. Their upcoming performances in Italy will feature songs from their latest album, “Danse Macabre,” released in October 2023.
