During the renovations, trains will pass through Ottaviano and Spagna stations without stopping.

Rome’s public transport network is undergoing significant upgrades in preparation for the Jubilee, causing inevitable inconvenience to commuters and tourists.

The city is temporarily replacing trams with buses to facilitate the redevelopment of the Porta Maggiore tram depot, with changes occurring on various dates between July and December.

Additionally, the Metro A line currently closes early at 21:00 from Sunday to Thursday. Shuttle buses replace subway service after 21:00 on these days. This schedule will continue until 5th December to complete maintenance work before the Jubilee Year. Millions of extra pilgrims and tourists are expected to visit the Eternal City in 2025.

Works on the metro have uncovered numerous and significant archaeological finds.
