The weekend of the 15th and 16th October 2022 is the ‘FAI Autumn Days’ event. 700 special places will in 350 Italian towns and cities will open to the public.
The FAI’s Autumn Days event is back for its eleventh season, dedicated to the cultural and landscape heritage of Italy. Promoted by FAI Youth Groups, and with the support of Delegations and FAI Groups, it bridges the north to south of the country.
In this edition, the young volunteers of the Foundation will use their energy and enthusiasm to open to the public 700 special places in 350 Italian cities. Many of the selected locations are usually inaccessible.
Visits, with free contribution, will allow participants to grasp the splendour of the cities in which we live and the territories that surround us.
What do the FAI Autumn Days offer?
A beneficial immersion in art, history and nature are a precious opportunity to understand the FAI’s mission. The event is part of the fundraising campaign “Let’s remember to save Italy” that the FAI organises in October.
Among the numerous open places in all regions there will be palaces, villas, churches and castles; archaeological areas, museums, military sites, examples of industrial archeology, places of education and research centers. All will be shown through the passionate and original gaze of the FAI youth.
There will be itineraries in the villages, and visits to “green” places such as parks, historic gardens and botanical gardens.
