The mother of a 13-year-old girl who died on 25th October in Piacenza felt “relieved” when her daughter’s 15-year-old boyfriend was arrested.
The family’s lawyer Lorenza Dordoni said on Tuesday, the teenager’s mother was “relieved” her daughter’s boyfriend was arrested in connection with the death.
In recent days, Aurora’s 22-year-old sister expressed doubts on social media, stating she did not believe her sister had committed suicide or accidentally fallen from the eighth-floor balcony.
“The mother cried and said she considers her suspicions to be confirmed now,” Dordoni shared after the teen’s arrest.
Autopsy results are expected soon, but an external examination revealed a significant head injury. Forensic experts will analyse whether this injury aligns with a fall or could suggest another cause, such as a previous trauma, according to investigative sources.
The examination took place on Monday afternoon in Pavia, led by a pathologist assigned by Bologna juvenile prosecutor Giovanni Cecchetto. Further tests, including a CT scan and genetic analysis, are also underway.
Sources and reports indicate that witnesses, including a young girl, contacted Aurora’s family, claiming to have seen her boyfriend abuse her before her death. One witness recalled seeing a boy push the girl on 4th October, later identifying him as Aurora’s boyfriend. The Rome daily Repubblica also reported a video allegedly shows the 15-year-old boyfriend striking Aurora.
