An ancient Roman ship has been discovered 92 metres deep off the coast of Sicily. Close to Isola delle Femmine, the vessel dates back to the second century BC.

Bologna’s historic porticoes added to UNESCO World Heritage List

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee approved the inclusion of Bologna’s porticoes on the World Heritage List yesterday. They join Padua’s 14th century fresco cycles as new entrants.

UNESCO considers Italy’s nominated Heritage Sites and the future of Venice lagoon
