TIM, Essilux & Ferrero post impressive increases in turnover

Ferrero announce turnover up by 20% in 2023. Similarly, the Italian telecoms giant TIM announced a 31% increase in earnings in 2023, whilst EssilorLuxottica announced a 14% increase in profits.

The turnover of the Ferrero confectionery group reached €17billion as of August 31 last year, the group said Wednesday, a rise of 20.7%.

The Nutella, Ferrero Rocher and Tic Tac mint maker, the world’s second biggest confectionery maker behind Mars-Wrigley, said it had 37 production plants, up from 32 the previous year, and 47,212 workers, up from 41,441.

Chief Financial Officer Daniel Martinez Carretero said the figures confirmed the group’s long-term business strategy.

TIM post substantial increase in turnover

Italian telecoms giant TIM on Wednesday posted earnings up 3.1% at €16.3billion in 2023.

Group EBITDA was 5.7% up at €6.4billion.

“The positive trend is continuing, with results in line with all the guidance for the second year running,” TIM said.

Eyes on the prize

EssilorLuxottica on Wednesday posted 2023 profit up 14% at €2.28billion, the Franco-Italian global eye-wear leader said.

It posted earnings of 25.39 billion, up 7%. The proposed dividend is 22% up at €3.95 euro a share.
