Madalina Ioana Filip, a 29-year-old Romanian-Italian OnlyFans star known as Mady Gio, is accused of evading €1.5 million in taxes in Italy.
Known online as Mady Gio, Filip has lived in Lugano, Switzerland, for about three years but still holds tax residency in Cassano Magnago near Varese, according to Italian tax authorities.
Filip, who has 1.5 million Instagram followers, insists, “I have always paid taxes both in Italy and Switzerland.” However, the Guardia di Finanza claims otherwise. During a recent investigation, they found no evidence supporting her claims of foreign tax residency.
Authorities noted that both her bank account and web domain are registered in Italy. The inquiry casts doubt on Filip’s legal tax status abroad.
OnlyFans, a subscription-based content platform based in London, is primarily used by sex workers but also hosts content from fitness experts, musicians, and other creators. Filip is one of the many influencers on the platform, which has gained global attention for its adult content creators.
Filip’s case is the latest in a series of tax evasion investigations targeting influencers and content creators in Italy.
