Tonight in L’Aquila, a central city in Abruzzo, Italian politicians and singers will come together for a charity football match. The 33rd annual Partita del Cuore aims to raise funds for new facilities at the Bambino Gesù children’s hospital in Rome and the Ospedale San Salvatore in L’Aquila.

The charity football match will be broadcast on RAI 1 on Wednesday at 21:30. The event will feature prominent figures from both the political and entertainment spheres.

Senate President Ignazio La Russa and former President of the Chamber of Deputies Pier Ferdinando Casini, both of whom participated in a memorable Partita del Cuore in 1996, will serve as coaches for the politicians’ team. This team includes Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, former premiers Giuseppe Conte and Matteo Renzi, and Partito Democratico leader Elly Schlein.

Verona mayor and former Italy international footballer Damiano Tommasi will draw significant attention as he plays, with the president of the lower house Lorenzo Fontana serving as the captain of the politicians’ team.

Enrico Ruggeri is captain of the singers’ team which features a star-studded lineup. Players include: Rocco Hunt, Il Tre, Rkomi, Leo Gassmann, Dolcenera, Moreno il Biondo, Serena Brancale, Petit, Bugo, LDA, Maninni, Pier Paolo Pretelli, Mida, Bnkr44, Ubaldo Pantani, Moreno Donadoni, and Aka 7even.

In addition to the football match, the event will include live musical performances by artists such as Rita Pavone and Al Bano.

The funds raised will contribute to important healthcare facilities, continuing the tradition of Partita del Cuore in supporting significant charitable causes.
