The conservative newspaper Libero reported today that Berlusconi is to marry his 32-year-old girlfriend. Marta Fascina is an MP for the right-wing Forza Italia party.
85-year-old Silvio Berlusconi, former Prime Minister of Italy, has been engaged to Marta Fascina for two years.
The rumour of the impending marriage of media mogul Silvio Berlusconito the 32-year-old MP for his centre-right Forza Italia (FI) is doing the rounds of parliament. Nobody in Berlusconi’s entourage has denied the rumours.
Berlusconi-Fascina relationship
Fascina is a literature graduate at Rome’s Sapienza University. Berlusconi left his girlfriend of 12 years for her. The couple were most recently seen in public kissing at a Serie B match involving Berlusconi’s Monza on Saturday, and on a lakeside walk at Lecco on Sunday.
If Berlusconi is to marry Fascina, she would be his third wife. He married his first wife, Carla Elvira Dall’Oglio, in 1965. He has two children, both media executives, by her. His second wife, actress Veronica Lario (born Miriam Bartolini), bore him another three children. Lario divorced him after accusing him of pursuing young women.
Berlusconi recently stood down in the run for President of Italy.
