Policeman admits obtaining data for Carmine Gallo

Business News

Police officer Marco Malerba admitted to a Milan judge on Thursday that he illegally obtained data at the alleged request of his “boss,” former supercop Carmine Gallo. This according to investigative sources.

Carmine Gallo, now under house arrest, allegedly led a group accused of compiling dossiers by illegally gathering sensitive national database information.

Hacker Massimiliano Camponovo, also arrested, expressed fears for his and his family’s safety, admitting he “received data and compiled reports” for the organisation. During questioning, Camponovo reportedly said, “I sensed something shady was behind this system.”

Nunzio Samuele Calamucci, the main hacker now under house arrest, claimed that allegations made in media reports were “impossible” based on his knowledge. He invoked his right to remain silent, stating he wanted to review investigative documents before talking to prosecutors.

In recorded conversations, Calamucci allegedly mentioned having access to a hard disk containing “800,000 SDIs” (confidential police database records).
