Milan ranks among the Top 20 most visited global cities and fifth in Europe, second only to Rome in Italy. With those figures, you might ask: is that level of tourism justified? The short answer is yes — but the “Milan experience” rewards quality over quantity.
Unlike Venice or Florence, Milan rarely feels like a living museum.
