A court in northern Italy sentenced former municipal security councillor Massimo Adriatici to 12 years in prison for the murder of Moroccan national Yous El Boussettaoui. Adriatici shot dead the man in July 2021 outside a bar in Voghera.

Massimo Adriatici was arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing an illegal Moroccan immigrant after an argument outside a Voghera bar on Tuesday night. He allegedly fired at the 39-year-old immigrant in self-defence.
