Italy has formally protested the release on bail of the owner of a Swiss bar destroyed in a deadly New Year’s Day fire and has recalled its ambassador to Switzerland.

Italy held funerals on Wednesday for the teenagers killed in the New Year’s Eve bar fire in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. The blaze killed 40 people and injured 119 at the ski resort. Six of the victims were Italian.

Six Italian teenagers killed in the New Year’s Eve bar fire in Crans-Montana have now been formally identified. Most were flown back to Italy on Monday, as repatriations continued following the disaster that claimed at least 40 lives.
