Belmond invites travellers to discover Italy in style aboard their 2026 luxury rail journeys with the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. The luxury rail company has announced four exclusive journeys from Paris to some of Italy’s most iconic destinations — Venice, the Amalfi Coast, Florence and Portofino — each paired with a stay at one of Belmond’s world-renowned hotels.
Guests can expect a seamless blend of luxury rail journeys and Italian villeggiatura — the art of the leisurely summer holiday. Each itinerary combines the elegance of 1920s rail travel with indulgent stays at five-star hotels, fine dining, and cultural experiences curated by Belmond.
Paris to Venice: 25–28 April 2026
The adventure begins with an overnight journey aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, followed by two nights at the iconic Hotel Cipriani. Guests will enjoy exclusive culinary experiences and a private visit to the last remaining glass foundry in central Venice.
Paris to the Amalfi Coast: 4–7 May 2026
Travellers will experience la dolce vita en route to the Amalfi Coast. After a night on the train, a private tour of Pompeii awaits before two nights at Hotel Caruso, where sweeping sea views and gourmet dining complete the experience.
Paris to Florence: 19–22 September 2026
This journey focuses on wellbeing and culture. After travelling through France and northern Italy aboard the Art Deco train, guests will check in at Villa San Michele, near Florence. The stay includes spa treatments, sound healing, meditation, and a gala dinner in Tuscan style.
Paris to Portofino: 15–18 October 2026
The final voyage of the year heads to Portofino. Following a night aboard the train, guests will arrive at Splendido, overlooking the harbour. Outdoor activities and a lively gala dinner capture the essence of Italian celebration and the charm of the Riviera.
Each Belmond journey offers a rare opportunity to see Italy through the romance of the rails. This year (2025), passengers have had the chance to enjoy Tuscany and Umbria on La Dolce Vita Orient Express.
