Three sex workers murdered in Rome

An investigation has been opened after three sex workers were murdered in Rome. The two Chinese women and South American transsexual woman were found stabbed to death.

A murder probe has been opened after two Chinese women prostitutes and a South American transsexual woman sex worker were found stabbed to death. The police said they were probably by the same hand. This has raised fears a serial killer might be on the loose in the Italian capital.

One Chinese prostitute was found at the entrance to a flat. She was presumably caught trying to flee her killer. The other was inside the apartment, the police said.

The discovery was made in via Augusto Riboty, in the upscale Prati district of the Italian capital. The transsexual sex worker was found stabbed to death in via Durazzo, in the same quarter.

“We suspect the same hand at work in all three cases”, said police. Autopsies have been ordered.

Porter raised the alarm

The building’s porter raised the alarm after finding a woman drenched in blood on the doorstep of the flat.

Police then entered and found the other woman. They are scanning the phone records of all three sex workers murdered in Rome to see which clients they had been in touch with recently.
