The municipality of Milan is dedicating the garden in Piazza Grandi to sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani, creators of the iconic Diabolik character. He is the criminal anti-hero who was the eponymous protagonist of a recent film.
On June 15, the municipality plans a ceremony to name the garden after the Milanese sisters. In 1962, Angela and Luciana invented the character, whose 60th anniversary is being celebrated this year.
To celebrate the event, three monthly magazines will include 16 extra pages dedicated to photos of the sisters and recollections of those who knew her. The magazines are a previously unpublished Diabolik, out on the first day of the month, and reprints of Diabolik R, out on June 10th and Diabolik Swiisss on June 20th.
The seventh edition of Diabolik Magnum will also be published on June 10th. Its title is “Cento volte in gioco”.
