Garden dedicated to Diabolik sisters

Milan is dedicating a garden to sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani, creators of the iconic Diabolik character.

The municipality of Milan is dedicating the garden in Piazza Grandi to sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani, creators of the iconic Diabolik character. He is  the criminal anti-hero who was the eponymous protagonist of a recent film.

On June 15, the municipality plans a ceremony to name the garden after the Milanese sisters. In 1962, Angela and Luciana invented the character, whose 60th anniversary is being celebrated this year.

To celebrate the event, three monthly magazines will include 16 extra pages dedicated to photos of the sisters and recollections of those who knew her. The magazines are a previously unpublished Diabolik, out on the first day of the month, and reprints of Diabolik R, out on June 10th and Diabolik Swiisss on June 20th.

Unpublished interview

The seventh edition of Diabolik Magnum will also be published on June 10th. Its title is “Cento volte in gioco”.

The volume will open with a 32-page special dedicated to Angela. Included is a never-published interview given to Gianni Bono in 1973. There are also old photos and testimony by those who worked with her.

The never published ‘Diamanti nei diamanti’ will be out on July 1st while on July 8th the extraordinary reprint of one of the most loved episodes, ‘Diabolik, chi sei?’ (1968), has been scheduled.

Together with the comic will be included two poker decks of playing cards with signs by Riccardo Nunziati.
